I’m thinking that this post is going to be about nothing. At all. That’s right, I’m going to close my eyes, spin in circles, open my eyes, then pick the first thing I see. Ok here I go. . . And the winner is, a wall! I am now going to dedicate this entire post to walls.

If it weren’t for walls, we wouldn’t have any buildings. Buildings are good. We use buildings to shelter us from the unpleasant. If there was a tornado and we had no walls, then we would all be royally screwed. Worse yet, if a bomb was about to land on us and we had no walls then we would have no bomb shelters, and we would be, again, royally screwed.

Walls are not only used to keep things out, but also to keep things in. When scientists are doing some lowly-funded experiment having to do with TNT, nitrous oxide, gasoline, mother-in-laws, and all other sorts of dangerous explosives, isn’t it nice to know that there is a blast wall between the people and the deathplosion? Another example, if you are trying to keep your super valuable, super rare, super sentimental spoon collection safe in a safe. How would you feel if the safe had no walls? A thief could just like, reach in and grab your spoons without you even knowing it.

So the next time you see a wall, give it a big hug and say, “Thank you wall, I don’t know what I would do without you.”
